The Atlas Premium Hotel is a flagship project located in the heart of Guéliz. The 12-story building includes 180 rooms, a spa, a rooftop pool and 3 levels of underground parking. The site features sensitive clay formations with a risk of differential settlement.
Défis géotechniques
- Swelling clays at surface (0-4m) requiring specific treatment
- Heavy concentrated loads (2500 kN) at central columns
- Deep excavation (-12m) for basements with temporary shoring
- Proximity to existing buildings sensitive to settlements
Solutions mises en œuvre
- 1Mixed solution: general raft + piles under high-load areas
- 2Replacement of swelling clays over 1.5m and controlled compacted fill
- 3Soil-structure interaction study to limit settlement to 25mm
- 4Berlin wall and strut support for basement excavation
